For photographers and studios
Photography, with the deposit taken at booking
A session fee, a date, a deposit at booking.
- Session price up front
- Deposit through Stripe
- One job, one client record
What makes photography different
The session is a fixed fee, the date is the scarce thing, and a booking without a deposit is not a booking. The rest of the work — the edit, the delivery — happens long after the calendar slot.
How JoQuote handles it
The session and any add-ons are price-book items. The client books a date and pays a deposit through Stripe; the job carries the date, the price and the deposit. What happens after the shoot is invoiced from the same job.
What you get
- Session and add-on prices from one price book
- A deposit taken at booking through Stripe
- The date, the client and the price on one job
- The balance invoiced later, against the same job
Questions
Can the deposit be a percentage?
Yes. A deposit is either a fixed amount or a percentage of the quote.
Do clients need an account?
No. They book from a link and pay; there is nothing to sign up for.
